- tin food cans
- corrugated cardboard
- newspaper
- computer paper
- grass clippings, tree trimmings, yard waste
- old appliances
- used motor oil, antifreeze, filters
- large bulky items like couches, mattresses, etc.

REMINDERS:
Separate caps and bottles (they are different types of plastic)

Great information; frustrating reality! We tried to recycle. We own a home in Lubbock, pay taxes, contribute to the economy and keep our home in immaculate shape. Since we do not have a Lubbock driver's license, we were rejected.
We had a current driver's license and a proof of residence from the Lubbock Appraisal District showing home ownership and were still denied.
Growing up on the east coast, I took curbside recycling pickup for granted. I really missed the convenience when I moved to Lubbock. So I brought it with me and started PainlessRecycling.com
